For children walking to 4 years with their parent/caregiver

This is a celebration of Winter and a chance to create community and enjoy nature with your child. Each class will include a walk and exploration on the farm, in the garden or forest. We will cook soup over an open fire. Children and parents will engage in seasonal circles and a puppet show. Parents and caregivers will learn songs, lullabies, and games to share at home as well as parenting meditations and observations. While children play freely, parents may have an opportunity for informal conversation as well as a chance to share the joys and challenges of the week. Discussion topics may include the importance of daily rhythms, the child’s senses, self- initiated play, warmth and movement in the young child’s development, and the role of imitation in learning. Capacity: 9 families
